Faith - Expectations
Pete Rose has more hits than any other baseball player in the history of the game. At the beginning of his record breaking season, he needed only 78 hits to break Ty Cobb’s record. A reporter asked him, “Pete, you only need 78 hits to break the record. How many at bats will it take for you to do it?” Without hesitating, Pete said, “78.” Everyone in the room laughed except for Rose. When the reporters got quiet he went on to explain how his positive expectation every time he went to the plate was one of the reasons why he had hit more base hits than anyone else in the game.
What do you expect out of life?
What do you expect each day when you wake?
When bad things happen to accept them as normal?
Do you see good things happening to you as the exception but not the rule?
We are in the beginning stages of a series entitled “The 12 Elements of Faith.” Element #2 is Expectation. In this video blog I will discuss the definition of expectation and the power of expectation as it pertains to a Christian’s faith. Then I will finish up with 4 things that every child of God should expect in their life.
Remember that you much change your thinking in order to change your living. I hope you listen well!
