Simon And The Prostitute

Simon was a critical spirit amidst Jesus and the prostitute. Jesus knew the prostitutes past. He knew her life, her sin, and her flaws. But He chose to see past those and see her humble spirit that chose to wash his feet and dry them with her hair. This is a perfect example of how we need to have a humble spirit that accepts others no matter their sin or past, instead of like Simon who rejected her due to her sin. We are to accept others, love others and serve others, no matter their appearance, behavior or sin!

What Is This Shaking About?

Read this passage… “…but now He has promised, saying, ‘Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.’ Now this, ‘Yet once more,’ indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.  Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:26-28 There is a shaking going on today in the nations of the earth.  But it is important for believers to truly understand what is happening so we are not taken by surprise and shaken like others.

Experiencing a Power Encounter

Just like Paul and Silas in prison, children of God release heaven through prayer and worship that causes foundations to be shaken, doors to be opened and chains to be loosed. Having a power experience with God is like light meeting darkness. It's similar to positive and negative crashing together to cause lightning. We have the power to bring heaven to earth!

I DON’T LIKE ORGANIZED RELIGION

Some people object to attending a structured church.  To them, it’s way too organized.  They believe Christianity should be should be an individual matter and that too much organization ruins it.  “I just don’t like organized religion,” they say, “This is why I don’t go to church.”
